Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the process of generating and managing building data during its life cycle. It often uses three-dimensional, real-time, dynamic building modeling software to increase productivity in building design and construction. The process encompasses building design, geometry, spatial relationships, geographic information,
and quantities and properties of building components. Mr. Allison will
discuss the BIMS concept, how AIA is promoting it, and how it will present a market opportunity for architects, engineers, geospatial professionals, constructors and facility managers. |
